Bonjour!
Rebekah here, but you can call me Bex. I'm a senior at the University of Tulsa, majoring in English with a brand-new minor in Graphic Design! My boring, generic, realistic goals are to work in advertising, web design, copy writing, and the like, but those are just day jobs, so I'll be able to keep some little studio with internet someday.
My dreams are many and varied, but the big one is to break into the video games industry, particularly as a concept artist, but also as a writer, low-level programmer, and whatever else I can get my hands on. In addition, I'd like to write novels (sci-fi/fantasy) and children's stories, illustrate said stories, do some studio/freelance art, AND someday be an awesome mom. My half-serious life's goal is to raise the greatest man or woman who ever lived. :D
I'm a big label collector. I collect labels, good or bad, and make them my own. Geek, nerd, gamer girl, bookworm, wannabe, tryhard, ditz--all of these names are part of who I am. In my spare time, I love to read, work on digital art (elsendor.deviantart.com), write tortured character concepts, play League of Legends and other games, and roleplay. Roleplaying is basically my origin story. If you don't know what that is, feel free to ask me and you'll soon enough wish you hadn't. ^u^
But yeah, enough about me. This blog is for my Illustrator class at TU, so the posts to follow are going to contain design concepts, school projects, and inspiration images that help me think. I took Photoshop last semester and I've been working with PaintTool SAI for several months, but Illustrator (vectors omg) is new, unexplored territory. I'm super excited! Hope you enjoy my work, and feel free to comment, because I need all the help I can get!
<3 and kisses,
Bex
